Last Wednesday, I had my fornightly session with the Sports Therapist. It was a little demoralizing because when I weighed in, I was 113kg which meant that I had lost only 2kg in 2 weeks. This was the lowest weight loss since I had started on the programme in October. Of course, 2kg is still fairly decent since the recommended weight loss is about 1 to 1.5kg a week. However, since i have been losing at least 3kg every fornight, losing only 2kg was a little demoralizing. In my last post I was worried about burning out and this 2kg loss was almost an affirmation of that fear. Of course, to be honest, I did give in to TWO buffets the week before. As much as I tried to eat healthily at the buffets, I guess they really did take a toll. Looks like I am going to have to strengthen my resolve not to go for such pig-outs.
Since Wednesday, I've tried to put in more effort to up my daily exercise. I've been trying to go for walks every night. Although there is some inertia to get walking, I do find myself sleeping very well if I go for a walk. So that's kind of a motivation. The other encouraging thing is that I find that I've been able to include a short jog during my walk. It's been years since I've even tried jogging so being able to jog about 200 to 300m is really a confidence booster. However, I'm trying not o go overboard coz I'm a little worried about injuring my knees/feet which might result in a long period of rest.
My personal goal is within reach. But I'm sure the next 14kg will be a hard push. First, I want to hit the 2-digit weight, then I'm gonna go for being within the normal BMI.
